Uniforms

We believe that it is important for the learners of The WAY Christian School to wear the same uniform as it ensures that the students are neatly dressed for school and special functions. The learners also identify with the uniform as it represents their school and they develop pride in being associated with this school.

The uniforms are aimed at taking the competitiveness out of dressing for school so that all learners start on an equal footing regardless of socio- economic background and the uniform is carefully chosen to minimise cost for the parents as well as being durable.

We expect our learners to be modestly and smartly dressed at all times and to be neatly groomed. This forms part of their education and it has been proven that it contributes to success in finding employment and the competitive market place of our age.

The Way Christian School was established in January, 1998 with only 40 learners meeting for its first Assembly. Today, our core values and Mission Statement remain the same, but many things have changed since those early days. Classes have been kept small in order to create an environment in which learners are able to develop as individuals within the given structures and parameters. Our staff has however, grown considerably since those early years and close on 300 learners now form part of our school family.
