THE WAY Christian School was established in 1998 and was situated on the grounds of a church in Valhalla, Centurion. It was originally established as an outreach of the church. In 2003 it started functioning independently of the church. The school then rented premises until 2013. In January 2014 the school moved into its own property in Raslouw, Centurion. By the end of 2015 THE WAY Christian School went into partnership with Highway Church (also in Raslouw, Centurion) as they shared the same vision to provide non-profit Christian-based education. In order to execute this combined vision effectively, it was decided to combine premises by the end of 2016.
From the Principal
At THE WAY Christian School we encourage learners to dream big dreams, to be confident so that they can become all that God has created them to be. Our goal is to develop the whole individual and provide opportunities for students to grow and expand their horizons – in a caring atmosphere where school staff guide and develop students’ academics and character.
We focus on teaching our children to depend on God, give their best in all circumstances and to not limit their potential. In God’s kingdom, He needs professionals and tradespeople – one type of career is not more important than another.
The first and most important school for a child is their own family. We believe that the education of children is a shared responsibility. Parents and teachers are role models and so have the privilege and responsibility to be the best role models they can be.
This will involve all school staff and parents participating in teaching the learners to improve their understanding and skills. Our school has a non-denominational Christian ethos and caters for children from a wide variety of backgrounds. It also caters for families who – though not necessarily Christian themselves - desire a Christian culture and educational experience for their children.
All staff members are committed Christian people from various denominational backgrounds selected for their professional competence as well as for their sense of calling to the ministry of a Christian School. As a staff group, we believe we are not just here to teach a certain subject or merely provide schooling, but we are helping raise the next generation of Godly men and women who will influence nations and generations to come.
I warmly invite you to visit our Campus and meet us. I am sure that you will appreciate the dynamic and caring culture of our wonderful school.
